All the Aussies are decent in the BBL so it would be a brave (mad) declaration.Time to spice up things, openers get their tons and then declare, Australia give Pakistan a scare by switching to T20 mode which is possible on this pitch and almost chase the target down.
That's exactly what this test needs to be 'historic'.All the Aussies are decent in the BBL so it would be a brave (mad) declaration.
It would be a good tribute to Rod Marsh who bowled 10 overs in a Test in Pakistan in 1980 that was about as batsman-dominated as this.if alex carey doesn't bowl here I will simply kill myself
Yeah but this isn't the first series in which Pakistani batsmen have identified the dangerous bowlers and just sat on them, and attacked the others. We need blokes who can get wickets on these decks, and I'm entirely sure Hazlewood is the man for that job. He’s barely gone for a run tbf
Yeah that may well be so tbh. I think two seamers, green and two spinners was the way to go in hindsight but I don’t know if it would have made much difference on this thingYeah but this isn't the first series in which Pakistani batsmen have identified the dangerous bowlers and just sat on them, and attacked the others. Losing 6/52 at the end of their innings is quite something in the context of this match; really should've been batting all day today instead of Pakistan. How did not a single Aus batsman get a century on this pitch?

Yeah, these pitches where you really have to vary things up and try things is where Lyon is at his most ineffectual.Lyon really needs more creativity. Needs to figure out how to set traps, lure batters into a mistake. Perhaps add an extra variation or two into his skillset. There's really no point to his bowling on roads like this atm. He just goes through the motion and tries to keep it dry, hoping for an unforced error from somewhere.
Something that separates the great spinners from the rest is they have the guile to produce a wicket out of no-where. Lyon's sorely missing that.
Do you reckon they care, apart from Carey? Genuine question. I don’t know that it matters given they’re bowling part timers anyway and it’s like 22 degrees.Losing 6/52 at the end of their innings is quite something in the context of this match; really should've been batting all day today instead of Pakistan.
