*Official* Australia in Pakistan 2022

Kirkut

International Regular
As odd as it may seem when they took four poles in 160 overs and one was a run out, I think the discussion about Pakistan's lack of intent is a bit harsh on the Aus bowlers; it's pretty likely that had they batted more expansively, they would have lost more wickets and not gotten the total they had.

Anyway I don't see myself watching much more of this game if this is how this is going to go; not exactly thrilling stuff out there.

EDIT: Though inept keeping doesn't help.
We're so used to seeing Younis Khan dancing down the track with tonking sixes on a hot day that 476 seems unacceptable. Except for Fakhar Zaman this side is moderate in their style.

You shouldn’t need a third man for a spinner. If you’re getting hit there you’re bowling miles too short.
They are. Iftikhar has less than one wicket per match in FC and they've had to turn to him already.

Also how old does he look?

Yeah Fmd I’m backing myself to dayboo for Pakistan next year as the second youngest in the side

Great session for Aus. As good as you could hope for chasing a big first innings. Pakistan very very loose tbh despite Haysman cry-wanking over them early on.

Often I've seen Australia collapse to around 250-300 in conditions like these, so obviously Pakistan are still well in this and are arguably still on top. But if Australia keep this up, this is gonna look like an ATB declaration.

I think if Aus makes 300 plus here they save the game pretty comfortably tbh. Got bad light, but of rain around and would only be two days to go.

Was going to say this. There was a game in UAE back in 14 I think when Pakistan got a big first innings score and Aus were exactly where they are now before collapsing slowly for 300 or something. They shouldn't throw it away here by trying to be ultra aggressive

Yep.

There was also this Test where Australia went from 142/0 to all out for 202!

Warner looks totally clueless against quicks these days but is talented enough to get away with it

I like the way Shaheen uses the crease occasionally to change the angles. Lot of younger quicks don’t do that enough
