This Rangers performance for Furball is straight out of a Fast Show sketch, " I think I've just ***, oh sorry I've *** again"

When it happened I was 50-50 because it made everything more exciting but didn’t actually make much sense. But now the games have started I just miss it. Feels like there’s a missing edge, especially in games with a clear underdog.

Same old same old at Selhurst Park today. Obviously Chelsea were the better side, but, having kept them out for 89 minutes you'd really think the defenders could do their job for another minute or so. Instead, having just got away with an off-side call against a Ziyech 'goal', the same player is left unmarked beyond the far post to win the match anyway. Our left back? He'd ball-watched and strolled aimlessly across the six yard box to leave Ziyech to do his thing. I know it's a bit old school, but sometimes you long for the manager to put the fear of god into his defenders Clough/Ferguson style and point out that if they cba to do their jobs on a Saturday then he'll spend most of Monday kicking their sorry arses all over the training ground.

I know. It will be a sad day when people can't have a barely coherent rant in the immediate aftermath of their feckless favourites not living up to expectations.

Anyway, I'm over it now.
The grecian "wow" coincided with Harry Kane's winner, so I think it was motivated by that.

It is, but they need to do a better job of using him too. The Spurs wingers were continually making great runs in behind in a way that just doesn't happen when he plays for England.

Which is odd when you think that Sterling always starts alongside him for England. Sancho should be ideal too, but I suppose he barely appears for the national side. Perhaps Grealish is a slightly different sort of player. Foden certainly is. Maybe Kane could provide similar service to the wing-backs if we're playing three at the back. But beyond all that, he just looked in far better nick than he has lately, even for Tottenham. I don't know whether that's because he's fully fit for the first time in ages. I remember Kane playing like this when Sterling and Rashford were playing and we ripped Spain to shreds in their back yard.

Some scousers had a go at him then his mum attacked them but got punched in the face so he waded in.

He landed more punches than Amir Khan did last night.
Love the bit about his mum attacking them. Not a lady to be trifled with, apparently.

If it's true, it's not Foden's first indiscretion, is it.
