NewcastleEmile Smith Rowe going to cost Villa a whole lot more this summer....
I enjoyed the highlights just now. It was fun to watch, but I don't know how many visiting players need to be treated as target practice by the locals before Leeds have to play a few games in an empty stadium. Yesterday wasn't the first time, that's for sure.Entertaining game, but I wouldn't be basking in optimism if I was a Manure fan with this bunch of players.
Newcastle are improving but aren't Everton still rubbish with a somewhat unproven manager in Frank?I Everton and Newcastle are improving under new managers,
were it not for Koscielny and Mertesacker, Benny and Gabriel would be the best Arsenal defensive pairing since Campbell and Toure imoFrom ESPN:
I desperately want Saliba to play for us but this thing we have going right now at the back is really promising.
These guys remind of Mert and Kos tbh. Except they both have recovery pace. What a signing Gabriel is tbh. A monster aerially.were it not for Koscielny and Mertesacker, Benny and Gabriel would be the best Arsenal defensive pairing since Campbell and Toure imo
although admittedly that is a rather dubious honour
No Europe is a big factor imo. Wherever we land we need heavy augmentation of the squad before next season.Arsenal's improvement in general has gone very under the radar. Feels like they went from a mid-table side with an under pressure manager to clear favourites for 4th place without anyone noticing. I think all the games in hand are kinda messing with the way narratives are forming this year.
They won a couple of games, didn't they. Granted they were rubbish against Southampton. Anyway, Everton never go down; second longest stay in the top flight after Arsenal, one way or another.Newcastle are improving but aren't Everton still rubbish with a somewhat unproven manager in Frank?
Yeah, games in hand is making it convoluted, including keeping the narrative that West Ham are having a great season still, whilst their results have been worse than middling for awhile. Effectively they're about 8th, and looking at a worse season than last year when they didn't have to sell their best players. Something I think they won't be able to avoid next season, especially Rice.Arsenal's improvement in general has gone very under the radar. Bit of both I'd say, as an impartial observer. They needed major changes and a complete change of Ethos, and there's no doubt seeing young players like Martinelli, Smith-Rowe and Saka feels more refreshing to watch then some of the players they've had recently as star names. Yet we'll see if they can keep it going until the end of the season. Are Arsenal getting better or Man Utd, Spurs and Wolves falling back to their level tho
Yeah I have just been assuming that Everton will stay up but their fixtures actually look pretty horrible. They won a couple of games, didn't they. Granted they were rubbish against Southampton. Anyway, Everton never go down; second longest stay in the top flight after Arsenal, one way or another.
