He was below par against Australia.Donald being poor against Australia is mostly a myth
Not true except in his last 2 test series which he was past his prime. He was below par against Australia.
His record against Australia is a mixed bag really, not poor.IIRC his record is made to look worse because of those last three Tests he played where he was 35 and well past his best, but even then he averaged 27 rather than 22.
I'll vote Lillee here though obviously a few others are on par.
We aren't discussing ODIs either.Akram
Greatest of last 100 years.
Since we are not considering Barnes the GOAT.
So basically disproving your theory that you have to be in good team to achieve that level of success?Marshall and Mcgrath had the luxury of playing for a super strong team.. Which is definitely a huge advantage.. Helps to achieve better avg, ER and SR.
Hadlee is the most impressive in top 3. ( also had far better longevity )
Based on what if I may ask.Could go Donald, Akram, DKL, Trueman or Lindwall but Holding isn't in the mix yet IMO.
Body of work. FST, Lindwall and DKL retired with a reputation of being the greatest ever. Akram is still widely regarded as such and Donald was on the same level throughout their careers. Holding just falls shy IMO. Garner is closer though.Based on what if I may ask.
Obviously.. Marshall is the list topper.. But then this is CW.. Anyway thank you for the clarification. We aren't discussing ODIs either.
Has Wasim filed a restraining order against you yet?
Donald wasnt and neither was Garner. They are more rated on this forum.Body of work. FST, Lindwall and DKL retired with a reputation of being the greatest ever.
