They just lose a leg every. time. they. tour.

honestly, middle of summer, no international cricket for a month and there’s bugger all interest in this because SL stink it up out here all the ****ing time.

"Not sure how Sri Lanka will handle Australia's tall fast bowlers in these conditions"

Australia celebrating that Hazlewood c&b wicket with as much enthusiasm as they did in the 50s.
like you don't want to say they didn't care; they're dedicated professionals who played to a high standard this evening in the field, did everything they needed to. but uh it's hard to say they were exactly fully into this match

Funnily enough how Australia's T20 cricket has gone the last couple of years is the best argument for undermining the relevance of these series.

Oz were generally awful in T20 for several years, the senior players hardly played any of the bilateral series and they still won the WC anyway. They're just there as content filler now.

I recall the likes of Allan Border & Jason Gillespie saying several years ago that the only T20 internationals should be played in World Cups now. I disagreed at the time but think it's a better option than this hodgepodge of scheduling that exists now.

I thought as I saw their innings progressing, 'They may have restricted us to 149, but they're still Sri Lanka in Australia.' Though they did win a series many, many years ago, I remember.

Some differences I suppose: facing Ben Laughlin was one.
