Captain Akram with the breakthrough!

What could Pakistan chase here? 250? England bossed 200 but SL were bowled out chasing 130.

WA is probably the toughest Shield batting lineup to break into right now for a young top order bat but really do expect to see Wyllie in the Shield this year

To me it seems like about the only place they could slot him in is opening the batting. Can't see a way into that WA middle order as things stand. Certainly a major talent though.

Decently impressed with the pace attack too, Whitney looks like he wouldn't be too out of place at Shield level already, Salzmann has looked pretty impressive at times (that yorker to get Irfan Khan was especially good) throughout the tournamnent as well.

I’m glad we got a little chance to see Salzmann bat last night, cause he’s an absolute gun bat too. Up until maybe like 2 years ago, was definitely a better bat than bowler. In u14 rep cricket here in Sydney a few years ago now, the side I coached faced his side, he was just fat and away better than anyone else out there, was a pleasure to watch him score a hundred and take 5fa (we still won though)

Ahh well that's pretty exciting, looking forward to hopefully seeing more. Bowling definitly has a bit about it so if his batting continues to develop strongly then Australia may have a very exciting cricketer on their hands indeed

I know Russel Arnold gave him big wraps on twitter a little while back. Can certainly see why

What is nuts about Wyllie is his Futures record. A lot of gun junior bats haven't really shown it at senior cricket, Wyllie has. Might well be our best batting talent since....Smith?

I didn't realise Murray Goodwin's son was currently opening for WA lmao (I thought it was still Whiteman), yeah he should be a decent chance to open the batting at some point soon then.

Also Sinfield is a straight up Lyon clone hey wrt his action

They moved Whiteman to 3 to bring in Goodwin, but they did have quite a few players out when that happened. I reckon Whiteman goes back to open at full strength.

BD being outclassed by India here as expected but this bottom age player Ariful is showing some lovely footwork and technique compared to his older colleagues. This partnership is crucial
