This is a great microcosm of how ****ed the general thinking of this management team is. They can't have genuinely wanted to win this game above all else.

I love Woakes. World Cup hero and all that. But we can't pick him away from home ever again, there's clearly something wrong there. Couldn't have asked for more suitable away conditions and he's not there.

Oh poor Marnus, seeing that replay so many times. I think the Aussie commentators saying “the number one batsman in the world” so many times gave him the mother of all commentators curses.

None as big as that.

Found an old cricinfo article the next biggest is Venkatapathy Raju
Morrison is 27.12 to 54.00. Raju is 24.00 to 52.41. Woakes has them both comfortably covered atm.

Not surprised Raju was terrible away. Barely even turned the ball even in India.

This is definitely the most "yes I really do average 50 for WA" innings from Green that he's played so far. Looks very easy right now.

You were crying and laying flowers on his grave a year ago you ****ing muppet
He got cremated and his ashes dumped in the sea. So this is a bit tasteless not only to implicate I would lay flowers upon the grave of a mass murderer, Nazi and enthusiastic genocidalist, but also to make this at the expense of a man now dead.

You're not wrong though.

I noticed Root wearing two sweaters earlier. It was about 20 at the time, which is literally average midsummer for Yorkshire.

We need sweeps on England's score here. If we get put in with an hour or so left, this could be a world record low.
