A former ZCC legend is currently on the market as a groundsman!
I've put in a bid but will be happy to see him at any CW team.

It was a nice distraction while trying not to stress about this other silly match I’m watching...Eight-run loss...probably good I had a meeting
In my T20, Michael Winton hit a very different knock - 22* (35). Nevertheless, it was a crucial match-winning one.Mike Warfield from Moooo CC just cracked a century in only 30 balls...with 6 fours and 10 sixes
Insane!
Well done and thanks for alerting us.League matches for CWC4 were generated overnight
You have to think about this a bit differently... this is a big community cricket website, a few people play 'stumped' here for a bit of fun and bragging rights. If somebody comes here just to try win friendly competition on stumped via some nefarious and devious means, they are gonna get ostracized by the group pretty quickly and just not invited to CWC tournaments (and possibly even hounded off the site). There won't be an enquiry, there wont be an mcc guideline needed, the group will just decide because it will be pretty clear that someone is being a dick! Nobody here is gonna cheat and those that do won't last long.Well done and thanks for alerting us.
This sounds very miserable of me - and I am not meaning to cast ANY shadows on any of us (including myself) but clearly as you have alluded to earlier on (but I was not really focusing then) there is an opportunity for 'shenanigans' (as you put it) when one manager has 2 teams in a league (particularly if one has already lost a couple of matches and then comes up against the other).
Someday, sometime, if not now but in CWC 5, 10 or 30, eventually someone (probably someone who hasn't even joined us yet!) is going to try it - just a couple of mildly weaker players ...'oh but it was not a weaker team, I was just trying something etc etc) and then there is no MCC CWC rules to refer to:
You have mentioned putting out full strength teams - and we can clearly see from the Expert Preview when someone has not BUT .....
How will this be policed?
Who will determine a weak team ?
What will be the penalties?
And more tricky - is when someone might put out a full strength team on paper but put in silly attack levels for batting/bowling / a 'wrong' keeper/captain and or batting order
Sounds grim but it is better sometimes to define exactly that there is a law and a punishment - then everyone knows where they stand - and as a result it doesn't happen - a deterrent !
I 100% expect it not to happen of course. Just as an idea .... I would accept (for example) any judgement by you as binding and the penalty is the the game and table is calculated as though the opposition had won the game by 50% (e.g. 300 vs 200)
The shame would ofc be a lot worse though- one would be mud in our CWC world!
Yes Stephen , I do indeed hope you are correct and in terms of thinking differently I think your points were mirrored by my last sentence , so I was covering a range of 'thinking' none of which have not been mentioned here before - and I concur with you entirely on the reasons to play stumped. You have to think about this a bit differently... this is a big community cricket website, a few people play 'stumped' here for a bit of fun and bragging rights.
