Bowled genuine wicket taking balls.. Bumrah was too short all this while. Shami was really unlucky indeed. Shardul deserves a lot of credit. Bowled a little quicker than he was in Centurion I think.

People forget that the reason why so many of our top quality batsmen where and/or are given the opening duties is partly because they are the better batsmen and opening is very difficult in SA... but also the space in the SA lineup for many years was as an opener. Whereas the SA middle order was pretty solid. Now there is space everywhere... moving players around to suit should not be an issue.

So the cheats didn't do the honourable thing and say to RvD, have another go son? KL and Dravid are now cheats too

Whatever it takes!!!
On Petersen, still think he has some technical issues to sort out but looks a good player that should help SA get outs of its current funk. Hopefully they bring in Rickelton for the next Test and drop Markram to 4. Not necessarily going to work but will be looking forward and not backwards.

And please get van Tonder and Breetzke into the squad asap.
I think Peterson will be another Bavuma, which is not bad at all but both these guys need to figure out how to get 100s. Their ceiling seems to be 50s and 60s.

His balance is excellent I think, but sometimes he is playing the ball on the move. Which he gets away with because of how good his balance is. Pushes forward with his hands sometimes, but think that comes back to he is still moving while playing the ball. It is a bit strange because he seems to have so much time to get into a good position.
Its coz he is already a short guy who has a predominantly backfoot trigger movement. There is no forward movement to speak of and therefore, he finds he is still reaching. Same issue with Bavuma. And I think with Ollie Pope also.
