Rabada made that catch look so comfortable and it was a damn difficult one.

Also just caught up on the highlights and wow, I don't think I've ever seen a batsman try so hard to gently chip a catch to slips as Rahane there.

Actually having looked at it again the angle meant the shot was on - left arm around the wicket. It was only very marginally outside off.

Nothing specific. He's just a deeply insecure person and it always shows in his nauseating, soundbite-infested commentary. I get the feeling a lot of his co-commentators are itching to say to him "well how many tests did you play, Mark?"

Pant's best innings including his 2 epics in the '21 BG series, 100 against England in Chennai and match winning knock at the Oval have come from similar starts when he settled in for a 20 (50) before accelerating and he's doing that here.

The only guy bowling a test match line and length for the last 2 years has been Mulder. He looks the closest bowler to Vernon Philander I've seen in a while. Top class bowling.
