Rickelton and Verrynne have to come in for Mulder and Maharaj. There's really no point in trying to persevere with the kid when he's struggling so much. Maharaj is not gonna be needed on that pitch. 7/4 split and let the quicks have a go at em.

Yeah that's what we should of played in centurion 7-4 split either 8 is jansen or mulder 8 way with 7 batsmen and makram or elgar to thrown down a few if needed.

From elgar's pressed it seems they will continue with kesh.

Seems only changes will be Kyle for qdk and olivier for Jansen.

I think India will play the same lineup.

Would have been better to bring in at least one new seamer (like Umesh) to freshen the attack, even though it would lengthen the tail. But Umesh isn't the worst bat either. So worth a go.

Peak Rahane feels like a myth now that we'll tell to future generations.
Nah peak Rahane is one of the best batsmen to watch for me. I honestly wish we see all 3 back to their peaks. They all brought something amazing and individual to the table.

Peak Rahane was hilarious. Great to watch, not least because you had no idea what the **** he was going to do in his first twenty balls. Could play like Bradman incarnate, could also play three absolutely awful hoicks in a row and top edge to fine leg.

But yeah from a distance, it doesn't look like the Indian team management are remotely interested in dropping them. They'll probably back their long-term records for quite a while yet.

Had posted this a few months back, but posting it again.

Rahane is the only batsman in history to average more than 50 at a point after his 25th test and then subsequently go on to average less than 40. This is one record which may last for an eternity. Unless of course Pujara decides to be part of that elite list.

Unless the trio costs India a series.. They ain't going anywhere. At best I hope it's last test for Pujju if he fails as he is real cra* among the 3.
