Gonna post the codes to Division 1 and 2 here as well while I'm at it

https://www.stumpedgame.com/ViewFriendlyComp.php?CompID=122&Code=438593 (needing FHK and Buy-Ins)
https://www.stumpedgame.com/ViewFriendlyComp.php?CompID=124&Code=693962 (needing Honest Hunks and ataraXIa)

ataraXIa and Ashgrove start as strong favourites to take the playoff spots in Division Two, in the Championship there could well be some affiliate shenanigans in the final rounds
Thank you indeed, done !

Okay that was clinical. I didn’t give them a chance to defend this but somehow they did.

The quicks combined for 6 wickets, Cornelius Human chipping in with 2 scalps to complement his 21 with the bat.

Praise to skipper Levy for his immaculate leadership.

Bram Human getting out in the 90s is now a meme. He’s a mad man.

Good game @Magrat Garlick

Tagging @honestbharani as unsure how often he frequents this thread.

For those of you who have crossed swords with the Buy-Ins during CWC4 Championship Group B (or are just eagle eyed followers of the Batting and Bowling stats !) it is with some sadness that the excellent Haidar has just gone up for sale. As a mercenary it is the way that after a hiring , comes a firing ! ?

Disappointing finish to the CWC4 group stage for the AX conglomerate. AX-W didn't manage to get off the mark with a point against a thankfully weakened Astronauts, and despite run-a-ball 70s from Daniel Rowan and Michael Winton (both their high-scores in friendlies for AXI) it was always a long ask to win.

The way Hui and Wong are developing, I may have to consider dropping one of Lester Shum or Pong Nam from the T20 starting XI to accommodate them both.
Now Lester's been called up to play T20Is for Bangladesh. Heck, throw him out after a crap performance and get LOY in there! He has to get a game in before Rehman Kaiser usurps his spot.

sorry for the delay, have entered now. Looks like they're both filled :)

The rankings after the group stage are

1 ***** CC 2170 (=) Championship, Winner Group D
2 Jura CC 2115 (+2) Championship, Winner Group C
3 Free HK 2110 (+2) Championship, Winner Group B
4 Dynamo Morpork 2089 (-2) Championship, 2nd Group A
5 Dynamo Schmaltzberg 2069 (+1) Championship, 2nd Group D
6 The Buy-Ins 2021 (+8) Championship, 2nd Group B
7 ataraXIa 2020 (-4) Second Division, 3rd Group B
8 The Merry Orangutans 1999 (+1) Championship, 2nd Group C
9 Moooo 1982 (+3) Second Division, 3rd Group A
10 GG CC 1955 (-2) Championship, Winner Group A
11 Ashgrove Astronauts 1954 (-4) Second Division, 3rd Group C
12 JoJo 1819 (-2) Second Division, 3rd Group D
13 Winton CC 1783 (-2) Second Division, 4th Group B
14 Honest Hunks 1755 (-1) Second Division, 4th Group D
15 ataraX Wellington 1580 (=) Second Division, 4th Group C

GG's poor recent streak against Moooo sends them down the rankings even with a group win and the CW3 Championship title. The Buy-Ins have bought well and it will be very interesting to see how many apple carts they can turn over; meanwhile after about three weeks of Dynamo lead at the top the ZCC franchises are now back to 1st and 3rd.

Been an awful few weeks for my franchises in the rankings although intriguing my affiliate is better placed than my Original Team!

Thank you for producing this . I am glad you have a patent and a monopoly on it because it is just too intriguing how it is calculated!!! (no don't tell me, oh tell me. no don't ad infinitum...!)
Sitting right in the middle is TMO which is kind of handy as they have as good as 2,000 points - and the vast majority of teams are then either 5% above or below that mid point - plenty close enough to inflict a defeat on each other given an off day, a favourable pitch, a missing top player.

I have the feeling that the Buy Ins are a better team than Jura - least ways at 50 over level. Jura are a good DEV team and are pushing for Div 1 promotion this season - but thats because everyone grew up together aged 16 or 17 from the start. We only have 2 over 22 players so struggle when we play grown ups!!

World number 184 FHK have just beaten world number 60 at home for the 2nd time in a row!

The last time was a paddling - FHK scored 251 after winning the toss and batting first, and then proceeded to bowl out ZCC for just 126!

This time around ZCC won the toss and batted first. However their renowned batting lineup kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Four of the top five scored more than 20, but the highest was Zack Yattack's 56, which he scored off just 48 balls after being promoted up to open. ZCC's fifth wicket fell in the 37th over with just 176 on the board, and the lower-middle order could only muddle them to 226/8.

This seemed well below par on a pretty good batting surface, and it proved to be so. Jalal picked up an early wicket for his side, but Agnes Chow (63) and Tony Chung blunted his attack for 110 runs in 23.2 overs. The back of the chase had been broken, and Chung went on to score an unbeaten 101 at close to a run a ball as FHK romped home with 8.4 overs and 6 wickets to spare.

Very close ratings for both teams in both games - ZCC just ahead by 1k or so in each match. The weak link seems to be 2nd spinner Tim Chester, who has gone at >6 RPO in both games. Lack of big runs from the ZCC batters as well tho, FHK's bowling proving to be better than they look in home conditions.

CWC group stage XI:

1) Tinozivaishe Zikhungwini / (Jura; 399 runs at 79.80)
2) Shawn Dee / (AXI; 294 runs at 58.80)
3) Sajith D Estandau / (ZCC; 435 runs at 108.75)
4) Shahbaz Furqan / (ZCC; 372 runs at 74.40)
5) Alonso Kock* / o (MTO; 295 runs at 49.17; 2 wkts at 39.00, econ 5.20, RMF)
6) Liam Wilton + / (Jura; 326 runs at 65.20)
7) Hashim Zahid o / (ZCC; 8 wkts at 15.88, econ 3.09, RM; 42 runs at 42.00)
8) Lucas (not Louis!) Grobbelaar o / (DyS; 16 wkts at 13.00, econ 4.41, LM; 123 runs at 24.60)
9) Pol de Klerk o / (MTO; 15 wkts at 12.80, econ 4.33, RWS; 42 runs at 14.00)
10) Babar Ijaz o (GG; 19 wkts at 7.63, econ 2.99, RF)
11) Usman Ibrahim o (HH; 17 wkts at 14.53, econ 4.26, RWS)

Took some liberties with the number of openers given the lack of prolific MOBs. Also note that Zikhungwini, Wilton, and Kock are guilty of major minnow (read: AX-W) bashing.

The lack of Mooo and GG players here am just goes to show how much teamwork goes into wins…like GG’s game against Morpork…everyone put their hands up and contribute.
