If anything it seems to be getting harder to bat; quickening up and getting less consistentYeah it feels like a 250 par deck. Might flatten out but I don't think Australia batted that poorly.
Yeah also throw in that garbage served up after lunch and it's a huge missed opportunityEngland have done well today but you really wonder what might have been had they not put up an hour of complete garbage last night with the new rock
as it is, this looks roughly a par score to me. meanwhile, for the test of the series, just tell cam green to hit it if it's in his zone
Cummins has already had a break and I'd not pick the other two in the next gameDifferent challenge here for Australia that they don't get much practice for at home and that is their Attack must back up and bowl again on only 24 hours rest. Will the Australian attack be fatigued?
in fairness, you don't want to be bowling floaty half volleys in Australia either. especially to head, who loves them, and Green, who was clearly itching to lay into oneso theres the anderson middle session spell on the Copesotron and it was 48% balls on the good length 42% short of a good length. you’d want to see probably a bit more good even if you could around about say 55-60%, but that at the 48% is still about 10-20% more than you often see on aussie pitches by touring bowlers. imperative if you want to challenge aus here that you do that and they have
awta as regards robinson but even though he’s not super quick anderson’s not often been particularly floaty at the pace he bowls tbfin fairness, you don't want to be bowling floaty half volleys in Australia either. especially to head, who loves them, and Green, who was clearly itching to lay into one
You need better glasses then. He's no Rahane/Pujara who I genuinely worry about when they go out to bat nowadays. Having problems with the moving ball =/= shell-shock and he's been injured for quite a few Tests this year for us away from home. He's looked utterly shell-shocked since.
That lead looks massive when Root aside the top order is in absolutely no form whatsoeverC'mon Hameed you are due !!!!!!!!
runs at 8 =/= runs at 6 (and doubly so for runs at 4)now i’m not calling to be green’s executioner or anything but if he continues to only be in the team on potential waiting for the big breakout performance at the test level when do you say it’s neser’s turn to be our test AR?
the problem is green wasn’t just doing well at shekel level he was absolutely imperious so do you gain anything from sending him back there? but you can’t carry him forever on these flashes of true potential
Not a prayer of being anywhere near that, the 30/2 predicted above is much more likely82/0 at close of play
