First time seeing the big left armer Jansen,obviously quite raw but it is nice to see SA back a youngster who they believe has talent instead of making them join the que.

This is what I`m happiest about... I would rather lose games giving youngsters a chance than maybe win a game because we where conservative. We need to rebuild to a strong team and we need to be brave to do that.

Jansen needed that to be taken. Bowled some good ones amongst the boundary balls.
After the first over I have not minded his boundary balls. He at least is looking for that movement and bowling full. Straying onto the legs is what happens with left arm'ers against RH batsmen.

I think Olivier is definitely the next cab off the rank after Nortje though. Which I don't mind,he has tons of FC experience and proven Test credentials in SA.

I think Olivier would have been the immediate best bowling pick. I think Jansen is still a bit raw. But I like the overall thinking and much prefer that thinking coming from selection and coach than dour conservative thinking.
