His numbers have not changed since we've had neutral venues so that's not something we can hold against him(and he is batting on those same wickets so you'll have to credit him somewhere
). Also, he has barely got any opportunities, 3 ODIs and a T20. He did well on an A tour to Australia though.
And I did say that white ball cricket at the highest level will be tough to crack for him. His bowling style is quite similar to Lord Shardul, he bowls these unplayable seaming deliveries along with some pretty regular stuff. Lord Shardul has extra pace so he can still be given some time in LO cricket to see if he can fix his economy.
Again, if not the the national team, he should at least get a few opportunities in the A tours and see where it goes from there. He has been consistent year after year and it's always good to have a backup all-rounder in case there is a need. I don't think he'll be able to do much in the IPL even if he gets picked since his bowling will is simply not suited to the format.
