Whatever it takes!!!
If Warner get this fifty here I'll just be waiting for the comment about him then wanting to 'cut loose'.
I feel he has done a bit of a Sachin in the last year. As Sachin lost lots of his gifts in the early noughties, he worked out ways to score runs using his game sense and experience and reinvented himself and had his second peak. I dunno if I can go that far with Warner, but so far the signs do seem to be that he has figured out a way to make runs inspite of him not having the gifts he used to and he is a lot more dependent on his game sense and experience. If he can have a second peak of even 2-3 years, that will serve Australia really well.

I have a little sympathy for Stokes in that situation though, because if the umpire calls a couple of the earlier ones then he could have adjusted.
you are assuming though that he could have still produced that same delivery while not overstepping...i think he got off lightly by not being penalized for 3 prior no-balls...

Of course he could have. Not saying he would have, but he certainly could have.

Whenever Hameed appears on the screen I just keep thinking 'why's Ishant Sharma there?'. Quite a few of the England fellas could use haircuts, especially Broad.

Just saw the drop. That is abysmal, surprised you didn't hear the echo of the clang as it hit his wrists

Copeland has just said 'the technology has broken down'. Apparently Stokes has overstepped 14 times and only being called twice (including the 'wicket').

How can things be this bad? It's a simple slow-mo replay.

Burns and Handscomb are guys who clearly never put any thought as to how the shape your skull can make a manbun look ridiculous

Also just caught up with that drop.

Burns really isn't doing much for women's cricket the last couple of days.

England have shown in the last ten years that when you have a world class opener, even one with clear limitations and weaknesses, you have to wring every single game out of them that you can because there are absolutely no guarantees that you're going to get an even halfway decent replacement for them.

Have you been watching today? Warner has looked average

Can anyone think of a less threatening looking bowler (at least one who didn't spray it around terribly) who bowls as quick as Wood? He must have a very easy to pick action or something, he hardly ever seems to rush the batsman.

without bowling leach and probably root as well a good bit, how are they going to get 90 overs in today?

This is absolutely it, for all Warner can frustrate at times he is still by far and away the best red ball opener Australia have

Uhhhh that would have been a very easy run out had he not decided to hurl it at a hundred miles an hour

The scary thing is it's an extended day too. The unofficial drinks breaks aren't helping, but so much stuffing round with the field.
