Do agree with the commentators - he hasn't hit a shot in anger and yet strikes the ball so crisply. He is a genuine stroke-player i.e. he strokes the ball.

He's got a very good power game too but adapts nicely to red ball. Getting to 60 has never been a problem for him. It's the big hundreds that he didn't get slowed him down getting to black caps. The break through series for him was the NZ A tour to UAE which was also a first for Kyle and Rachin at that level.

Just on height…Ishant baffles me because all of the listings on the internet have him like 6’3”, 6’4” which is inexplicable under listing. The guy is huge. Every bit of 6’6”.

Yeah, handy bowler in Aus conditions - does the Vettori thing well - keeping it tight and picking up wickets to aggressive shots. Also, unlike Dan, he can actually bowl in the 4th innings.
