@cnerd123 , how close are some of my guys in the order to make the BD national team?

Rabbani
Ishmail
Hafeez (Ahsan)
Gul
They're all quite young, so some ways away. I can't see their skills atm, but generally to break into the Nat side players need atleast 40 actual skill in either primary, with somewhere around 38 actual skill being sufficient for an allrounder. Rabbani definitely won't be making it to the Nat side I'm afraid.

Could see him being in the squad if he gets close to his potentials + gets that keeping skill up too.

I'm already training a keeper so his keeping skill is probably going to plateau in low double figures. Will try and get him to keep one day a week though. Batting-wise I suppose 40 skill is a stretch, so does look a bit unlikely.

I`m having a terrible time with my scouts. Since my first few weeks of decent luck, have now not even considered keeping a player for 17 weeks. Sold 2 in that time. The rest rejected. <Sad>

Wow I thought things were bad for me. Last 10 recruits, sold 2 and kept 1. 7 others retired. Of the 2 I've sold, one has gone for 2/83 and picked up a duck in his last game - I found out having a look on what he's up to now. The other player I sold is with @Marcuss - Daniel Marshall

Checking back (the pull history under coaching is a pretty good view) my worst run was 18 weeks of all rejected players. Either side of that I got a 46 bowler and a 41 bat (now sold).

I think it makes sense really, you'd expect to get about one player a season good enough for your first team

That 41 bat must have been nice, it seems like top quality bowlers are plentiful but the batsman not so much. I ended up overpaying - paying just over 300k for a 23 current, 44 potential batsman - he is 16 at least though. But I have 3 45 potential bowlers, 1 was actually the 3rd player from my above post that I kept, the other 2 cost a combined 7k far less than the over 300k for the batter.

I actually sold the 41 bat for 20k to a guy who needed his nationality  But yes, definite batting shortage.

Got this guy recently as well so really shouldn't complain https://www.stumpedgame.com/player.php?Player=239319

I can’t complain to much. In my first 12 weeks I picked up a 44 bat pot-wk, a 46 bat, a 48 bat and a 43 bat. Still young, all 17, and developing so future at TMOs is still bright. But I had hoped to pick up another bat by now.

Ah was he Zimbabwean? I think I came across him earlier looking at the forum if so.

Khattak a very nice find for you/your scouts.

Hoping for a 12 week run like that in the near future! Especially with the 44 bat potential wk!

I'll just weigh into this pit of lament! I think (now in retrospect I was fairly fortunate with Jura in my first year - I ve got maybe 3 44 bats and a 47 bowler and a 48 bat f(POT not actual) rom pulls - so the future in 4 Stumped seasons time looks ok!) But since the Buy Ins arrived on the scene its been lamentable... It's always a nice part of the week when you see it s time to press that scout button and then ......oh a collection of players whose batting average is lower than their bowling average .... oh wtf - you click anyway and yes - some 16 year old with 7 out of 29 - so click - Arnie time!!

As I've mentioned before the best day of the week is Coaching day --- oooh oooh I've got 19 uplifts ....and then you find out that most of them are experience or fielding or some crappy rabbit bowler who has improved hid batting from 4 to 5!! and you're 19 uplifts in reality becomes 2 staminas 2 bats and a bowl lol - But it's a beautiful game !!!!

By the way I notice the Astronauts have been buying some great little players on the cheap cheap. I saw a couple that I would have liked but then as ever you were working or watching Bargain Hunt (lol) and the bird has flown. You could kick over your own stumps when you see they have gone for 1-2k !

Nicky Clift has left the club. The senior batsman scored 5434 club runs from 186 matches at an average initially over 40 but dropped down to 33.96 - still very good for an AXI player. He scored 37 fifties and 3 hundreds, and the third-most runs of all players. In his final club match (a division 2 T20) he won the game with 64* (51) from 5. Legend. Now only one of the Aylmer-Clift-Shaffrey triumvirate remains.

In a SOD vs Marcuss the Astronauts are 32-5 in response to 225. That 225-7, was odd because I was 61-2 after 25 overs and 110-4 after 35 overs. Du Preez and Shaffrey were very defensive, 47 (111) and 36 (75) respectively after a couple of early wickets. But, as is becoming somewhat habitual, Winton and Murdoch upped the pace, 49 (37) and 61* (41) respectively. Mehr Wazir got all of my top 5 out.

That was a paddling

Schmaltzberg are at *CC this morning, somehow have them three down as old hand Christian Owen has Shkorer edged behind for two...34-3 with the aggressive guns Shahboss and Shkorer gone already

Shkorer actually plopped in SS today, might be the reason behind his early dismissal.

Log on now to see Heshan de Mehlo steadied the ship with 64 off 91, before Zack Yattack teed off - currently 115* off 95. 210/4 in 39, on track for a good score. We'll need all the runs we can get, fielding a bit of a 2nd string bowling lineup, they'll need some scoreboard pressure.

Over at The Merry Arboreal CG, an unchanged FHK side is bowling first in the much anticipated rematch against TMO. Reid run out early but Sree and Kock going steady atm. 64/1 in 18 overs. Lots of moisture on this wicket, run scoring should become easier once the ball gets older. Bit of wear to keep the bowlers interested though.

Seems like the match engine is listening to which one of us is posting, two wickets now for Schmaltzberg  With the clouds and green wicket 250+ should be plenty though.

242 feels just about par. Let's see if the young'uns can deliver with the ball. Might need a big effort from Chung Yiu to get over the line.

That's the challenge now for ZCC - moving on from the Bikswing/Giddings/Hashim Zahid era towards the next gen bowlers. A lot of pressure on Chester and Ramalingam's shoulders.
