what worries me for oz cricket, and i’ve said this before, is based on what trundler notes; i’m worried that gigaspuds head and (if picked) harris will get some scores against a shithouse england and trick the selectors in to giving them more rope, biting us in the ass when we play a real team

I don't think anyone is claiming that Khawaja is a silver bullet for all our batting woes, but considering the alternative options I think he well and truly is the most practical option. (Which is something I would definitely say for Head also in the middle order)

We have tours of Sri Lanka and India coming up. I shudder to think of what would happen, especially as if we win the Ashes they'll probably renew Langer's contract, thus guaranteeing no-one is performing at their best.
