I can understand the fans being jubilant but the team themselves should not let this big them up. If you look at it from a strictly cricket PoV, they won a good toss and played well throughout in conditions most suited to them. If they let this get to their head, they may have a rough rest of the WC.
You're right, complacency is the last thing they need right now.

Whatever it takes!!!
From an India PoV, the balance becomes crucial now. If Hardik is injured, we will get in Venky Iyer. But just getting him in wont solve anything. We need to bat till 9 with actual hitting ability and ask one of our openers to go from ball 1.

People keep talking about Virat s unsportsmanlike conduct or whatever and yet after two tough losses guy has been the first one to hug the opponent and actually be happy for them. It would be so easy for these players to get carried away by what is happening between the two countries politically but to the credit of all from both teams and especially captains, they actually played like the brothers we are. ?

I really hope that he advocates for more India-Pakistan games.
This could be the start of something great!

Love wins in the end.

After all the Wasim wannabes over the past 20 years, Pakistan have finally found something pretty special with Shaheen. Love watching him bowl.

Still no one here has commented on why bumrah was not given the 13th and 15th over when the game was still in the balance when pakistan required 67 off 48

Didn't matter. The whole body language was drowsy, Shami smiling after bowling on pads everytime summed it up the best.

Pakistani batsmen were clinical and prioritized singles over boundaries, simple cricket. While Pant was trying to blast every ball out of the park.

I'm not downplaying their win - it was a pizzling. Top effort. Just saying I wouldn't out a T20 group stage result on the same level as a four test series outcome. Each to their own though.
