Yeah very questionable bowling changes from Kohli. Bumrah was obviously troubling us. Would've thrown him all four overs and build pressure. I was very happy whenever he would get one over followed by being taken off for no reason.
The entire team looked bored and/or sleep deprived.

Pathetic, soulless bowling performance.

What a dominant win for Pakistan and in what circumstances! Massive congrats to all their fans.

Its stupid to blame India for this loss. Our bowling could have been better but Pakistan won the toss, and then never put a foot wrong. Their fielding was the best I have ever seen from a Pak side and any Indian fan thinking a decision here or there could have changed the result of this game is just day dreaming. Pakistan were by far the better side today and we deserve the paddling we got, not because we played bad, tbh, but because they were far better. It was the same case in the CT finals. Sometimes you just gotta give it to the other side who played so much better and never allowed your side to play anywhere near their best.

I am not a fan of having Shami in any form as a first XI player with the current fast bowling resources that we have. Bhuvi can hopefully rediscover some form but otherwise, we are not gonna be contenders here with us packing our side with Mumbai Indians players and all of them being in **** form and/or injured. Hopefully Hardik's injury means we can swap him out for Venky Iyer.

Big congrats to all Pak fans here. Unlucky 13 turns lucky 13 for you guys and your team were absolutely fabulous today. Rizwan the real secret sauce for this side. I hope they dont let this get to their heads and play some ordinary cricket from here on. They gotta be humble enough to recognize they won a very crucial toss and there was a shitload of dew.

A pretty astonishing result. I genuinely thought that 150+ would be enough on what didn't seem like an easy pitch.
Just for context the list of TTI wins by 10 wickets and I believe this is the first ever one for Pakistan and the first ever such defeat for India. It is also only the second time a team has chased more than 150 without losing a wicket.

It looked like Virat asked Bumrah to bowl the 18th but for some reason, that got changed. I think I saw Bumrah himself saying he would bowl the 19th. But then having Shami never helps with such planning.

Indian cricketers are clearly overworked and that has impacted their decision making here.

I mean we can point to any little thing but I think Pak were so far ahead and better than us this game it wont have mattered. Sure they would have won it in the 19th instead of the 18th but at this point, that is immaterial. I would rather lose this way if that means our guys get a kick up their back side and play with better intensity from next game. Close losses are the worst. When its a paddling, esp. in this format and in conditions this affected by the toss, its easy to put it behind and move on to the next game.

This was perfect really. Spin choke worked wonders in the middle overs. There were wickets at regular intervals, no slip ups in the field aside from that overthrow. Anything under 160 was always going to be Pakistan's match to lose because they've done this chase dozens of times. But **** me a ten wicket win like this wasn't something I could ever have dreamt up. The way these two took on the darty spinners towards the end of their spells and squeezed out risk free 4s off Bumrah was incredible.

I'm still shooketh by the fielding effort.

At least the monkey is off the back now, the focus will be more on the game in future Indo Pak ICC events instead of win scoreline.

We got a similar drubbing when Australia won by 10 wickets in an ODI earlier this year, right?

Had to happen someday, it's unrealistic to expect a clean winning streak for any sports team.
I didn't mean Pakistan winning, I meant the listless performance.

Pak lost 2003 WC match too, but played well, only to be outplayed by Sachin. The way you lose really matters to the fans.

Nah, like I said, when its a paddling in this format, its easier to move on from there to the next game. Close games hurt. And this was as much of a paddling as the CT round one game was. See what happened after that. Plus conditions are such that if you win the toss and play well, its almost always likely to be a paddling.

Pakistan has broken their losing streak. Now India needs to break their ICC events' losing streak against NZ (goes back to 2003 in South Africa). Exciting group

I would disagree..If my team fights and loses I feel much better that at least they ran close. It sucks to have the team just **** all over the place. At least that's how I feel.

Need to see pics from Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Punjab...
The celebrations are massive over here
I can understand the fans being jubilant but the team themselves should not let this big them up. If you look at it from a strictly cricket PoV, they won a good toss and played well throughout in conditions most suited to them. If they let this get to their head, they may have a rough rest of the WC.

I dont think India "just ****" all over the place. The dew was massive and Pakistan bowling was too good to let India into the game. Its not like India played bad cricket, for me. Pak just played better cricket. There are games that your team loses, but there are games when you can see your team did their best but the best they were allowed to do by the other side was so little that it was not enough to pose a challenge. That is what happened today. I thought we batted very well to get to 150, for example.
