Finding out the best decade for test cricket: The tournament thread! 12 ATG XIs duke it out.

International Captain
How's Anderson any worse than Alec Bedwetter? Looked the man on cricinfo for the first time and he has a record so lopsided it makes me respect Anderson. Ur-Anderson if you will.

Not to mention, that 50s team is full of strange names who never played in Asia, not even against the anemic XIs India and Pakistan used to put out back then. That is to say, how's Warner any worse than Harvey?

The 80s lot will go through and they're obviously all superstars individually. But that team structure is kinda an assault on decency.

Yes, we know the 80s will go through, but facing the bowling of the Demon, the Terror and Lohmann on uncovered wickets must have been terrifying. Add the Doctor in and it's hard to beat

i look forward to the 1800s going through because everyone assumes the 80s will comfortably progress and makes the romantic vote for the 1800s

70s and 80s

The 1900s and 1920s were way more enticing underdog picks for me. Can't even pretend the 1800s are worthy of advancing ya know
