Sobers is obviously the greatest, but who is the 2nd greatest?
Can't see the logic in that tbhTo be logically considered, you have to be sees for a sustained time as the best batsman or best bowler in the world.
Very easily? If anything I'd say it's the opposite. Hard to be the greatest cricketer if you only specialise in one discipline unless you're waaaaaay better than anyone else at that discipline. Other than Bradman no one qualifies. It would have to be Sachin averaging 80 with the bat or McGrath averaging 12 with the ball. How can you be the greatest cricketer of any form of you weren’t the best at some point in one of the major disciplines
If you can combine bowling skills of Walsh and Batting Skills of Desilva, you are far better than Sachin, Akram, Lara, McGrath.. EtcHow can you be the greatest cricketer of any form of you weren’t the best at some point in one of the major disciplines
Except that Kallis was the number one ranked batsman for a while, in both tests and ODIs.How can you be the greatest cricketer of any form of you weren’t the best at some point in one of the major disciplines
That's because there are better batsmen and better bowlers than him. But none of those batsmen bowled as well as he did and none of those bowlers batted as well as he did. So taking both disciplines into account there's definitely a case to be made for Kallis.Kallis doesn't make ATXI of either Test or ODI(most people). Yet he is the greatest cricketer ?
