Tbh i doubt you need Warne and Murali both in the 00’s side. Warne will be in the 90’s side, replace him in that attack with Ahktar or Pollock and the attack looks much better balanced.

For the 1990s, it's Gooch plus one to open. I had assumed I'd vote Kirsten, though his record as an opener in the 1990s isn't quite as good as I remembered it. Taylor, Slater and Saeed Anwar are all strong shouts too, but I'm giving a vote to Alec Stewart (and am surprised it's the first vote he's got) - had a superb record as an opener in the '90s, in often difficult circumstances against some great attacks.

Waqar, McGrath, Donald, Pollock and Walsh all waiting in the wings for this team, and it's crazy that three or four of those five blokes are going to miss out (McGrath is a lock for the 2000s team, at least).
