***Official*** 4th Test @ The Oval, London - 2nd-6th September

Whatever it takes!!!
Pope is special

chur bro. bet you a hundy he never gets past the main 5 quicks.
How does that mean anything? Its about his ceiling and what he achieves when he plays.

Its not Doug B using Hobart D/N conditions to shag a 5fer either. The Gabba 7 fer was good bowling, but I am sure you did not watch it.

And? His bowling is what it is. He doesn't have a higher ceiling, this is it. He's a short fat bloke who bowls decent mediums. Dougy B won a test in aus with his bowling then disappeared because he wasnt good enough. Thakur risks the same imo.
Bollinger had serious wheels for a while. Think he was a much better quick than Thakur, just couldn't stay fit.

EDIT: LOL, just realised you meant Bracewell. Curse there being two Antipodean quicks called Doug B.

Another nice cameo from both Pope and Bairstow, one simply has to go on this time to score a big one given both are set on a decent track.

Aussie lost a few dudesbefore their time. Bollinger and Hilf looked so promising. Siddle the only long career of that gen.

I hope this is the last we ever hear of the absolute loser.
One more test at Old Trafford but if the authorities have any sense he should be made to turn up at the local police station at 2pm every day of the next test seeing as he is a total tool.

Buttler allegedly not going to tour so Bairstow will be keeper probably.

That is if it goes ahead anyway.
I can see the tour being amended somewhat but I think at least some of the states will be at the 80% mark. I think the Ashes will still go ahead, there's too much to lose for it to not go ahead.

International Captain
If the ball isn't turning, wouldn't you be better off having a short leg for Jadeja to right-handers instead of the silly mid-off? Seems like captains too often premeditate field settings based on how things should be rather than how they are.

It'll go ahead, they aren't as soft as the Aussie rugby league team.

Brilliant session, game in the balance. Least the 2nd best bat in the team still to come
