Well apart from one funny half our that was atrocious batting. Entire lineup looks like it has no plan on how to get runs when the ball isn't coming down gun barrel straight.

And also it is proof with how bad Pujara, Kohli and Rahane have been playing that they are regularly outscored by people like Thakur. Bit of positivity goes a long way.

To be fair, it is not as simple as that. Swing is different to seam movement and these guys do well against seam in Australia. I suppose the idea of the ball moving in the air as well as off the pitch is their undoing. But yeah, its what cricket in England (and NZ I guesss) has always been about.. Hopefully, the bowlers keep us in the game this time.

Yeah maybe at some point someone in management will figure out that india aren’t good at batting here and another batsman might help put up a decent total.

Without a selection overhaul, there will be no improvement. India need to trial new batsmen in place of Pujara and Rahane and even keeping the openers slot open for discussion because of KL's now well-established inconsistency. And as much of a fan and defender that I am of Rishabh Pant, he's looked like a child in this series so far.
