The only guy in this batting line up who can bat off the backfoot, apart from the openers is Pujara. Pant has to figure out a back foot game. Rahane has his feet stuck, no real front foot or back foot movement. Virat is too set in his forward press to change the technique now. This is why we are so bad this series, coz of the freefall of Pujara.

I feel like the way he sets up, generally full and straight could trouble Thakur but bowlers haven't tried that to him for whatever reason .

Maybe but he was jumping outside off and most umpires wont give that. It was still umpire's call, so I dont think it was dead or plumb for sure. But my point was that even allowing for that, we have given away at least 3 wickets to balls that were not really difficult to play or anything. At test level, you need to handle those balls.

I think most umps give it, but it is immaterial. Yes, still pressure tells often in Tests. Think it has been as much good bowling as poor batting
