Yeah, shielded is a bit unfair but it's not a good look for your vice-captain batsman of 80 Tests, however you dress it. All I can say at this stage is it must feel good to have the unlimited faith of your captain and coach. Just ask Ashwin.
Not a good look but cricket is not necessarily about good looks or bad looks, just about winning. I truly think that Jadeja has shown a strong technique outside off stump and so the gutsy decision is not without a reason. He's not the slogger that many think he is.

He is far worse at slogging than he is at playing a proper test match #5 innings.

we need someone in the match discussion segment to go hard at our batters like bob willis did for england

This lineup is so bad. Kohli looks promising so far though.
until now he tried flicking full balls on middle and leg for runs

he's been playing straight down the ground this innings

not sure if thats something worth pointing out but thats the best of my analytical skills

OS or someone was saying Sanga turned his fortunes in England around when he stopped playing in the V

And balls on middle and leg have not been his issue anyways. Its the ones outside off or on offstump.

maybe he's made a little change in his approach that has made him play straighter shots in an effort to change the way his bat meets the ball and these on drives are a side effect of that

idk
