I mean, jingoistic Kohli-hate aside, I think it is actually a fair thought process and something I have had since the WTC final. I think the captaincy is getting to him and is also getting to his team mates. His high energy high octane style is not for everyone. He is the reason we have this pace battery today and he is also someone who has backed Rohit forever, so there is much to be thankful for his captaincy but as Dravid once said, every captain has a shelf life and I think Virat has hit his now. I feel his batting will get better when he is not bogged down by the captaincy too.

If I may be pedantic, that win in the Caribbean was in the 60s too. We drew there in 1974. And I have long argued that the 2004 win is seriously underrated
In the post day interview even Anderson said he would've batted first, and Root said he wasn't sure what he'd have done at the toss, so yeah. If anything it's just added to Kohli's bizarre toss curse in that the one he won was a toss that didn't really matter.
