Yeah but my worry is it should not continue in this session. That short spell before tea was understandable. They have had time to calm down and work on their plans.
You'd think so but - unfortunately - I've seen enough of these events to suspect that it usually takes a full day to recover mentally. It's rare that the team that has been skittled in the first innings is able to put up any semblance of a fight on the same day, they're probably still a bit in shock.

In Edgbaston and Trent Bridge in 2015, for example, the conditions were still bowler-friendly enough and the Aus bowlers technically skilled enough that a counter-skittling was still technically possible and that would have kept the game alive. But psychologically the team that's been bowled out for ****-all just usually can't do it until Day 2 or 3. The only counterexample I can think of is 47ao.

They'd want to get a wicket soon, or they're seriously threatening rare air in the "worst single day of cricket" stakes.

Tfw Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed are outscoring your entire top 7 combined. Wouldn't wish the face on anyone though.

The former Sussex batsman Ashar Zaidi has demanded an apology from Craig Overton after it emerged the promising English seamer had told him “go back to your own ****ing country” during a county match last season.

As first revealed by the Guardian, Overton, who came close to selection for England’s winter Test tour to South Africa, was reported to have made the remark to the Pakistan-born batsman by both the umpire Alex Wharf and the non-striking batsman Michael Yardy during Somerset’s four-day Division One match at Sussex in September.

Oh dear... and I was taking a shine to him.

Uh, this seems a fair bit worse than what Robinson did. Old shitty tweets is one thing, an honest to god "go back where you came from" on a cricket field? Yikes.

Yeah it’s much worse. Maybe this is the type of thing the Robinson ban was trying to correct for.

Some interesting stuff in there given what’s come out about Yorkshire cricket since.

Worst I've seen from India is probably that game in the 0-4 series in Australia where we got rolled for 150 after winning the toss and Warner spanked a 70 ball ton before close. Poor vinay kumar :(

Okay yeah in sheer humiliation value, that's probably as bad as it gets. This is a different kind of bad though, very much Boxing Day 2010 vibes. Then there's the days which are... externally influenced... which probably isn't fair to count.
