To what extent are the anti-Langer sentiments expressed on CW because of this?

Reading Paine's comments today it sounded like he felt obligation of the team and admin was to keep up the spirits of the coach who'd had a tough week.

Bar perhaps Ray Illingworth never heard of such a high-maintenance coach that seemed to warrant more care & attention than the players!

The tl;dw version is essentially:

-player who implied his coach is a wanker was dropped
-player still wants to play, so downplays this as potential reason for said dropping
-coach still behaves like a wanker, but it comes from a good place, apparently
-some current players take umbrage at coach's wankerish behaviour
-their people leak like collanders to the media
-pick me coach!!!!

The unfortunate thing is, the best coaches in the world don't necessarily want the international gigs. They want franchise gigs. And they can do that without retribution of being considered mercenaries.
