Yeah I remember it well. His defence was he didn’t know she was underaged. Got a lot of public support at the time which shows how much culture and morality has shifted.

There was a fly on the wall style documentary made when Rix was running the Chelsea youth team. He mollycoddled Jody Morris and Neil Clement who were the two obvious stand out players and was quite harsh on the rest. Any racism probably ended up on the cutting room floor.
