Haha tbf these are words with a very precise legal meaning, whereas "pedo" and it's variations aren't iirc. But I do agree with your general point. People convicted of ***aul assaults being called "rapists" always grates with me.

I always had Murphy categorised in my head as 'completely bland, never says anything of note' until @Uppercut drew attention to the fact that he constantly asserts stuff that is 100% wrong. Ever since then I notice it all the time. I think his delivery is so bland that I hadn't actually been listening to what he was saying before.

He has the same set of bad reactionary opinions as most **** pundits, but he takes it to another level by constantly seeing phantom deflections, fouls, and handballs, or claiming an offside player was onside. He spent the whole euros on commentary describing the exact opposite of what was being shown on the screen.

Apparently he does punditry because he lost all the money he earned as a player gambling. Surely there must have been a lot of money in always taking the other side of his bets.

He really pissed me off during the Euros when his instinctual reaction to a cynical tactical foul where a player was hacked down (so not a relatively harmless foul like a shirt pull) was to say 'well done'
