*Official* Pakistan in West Indies (Twenty20 and Test)

There's nothing about out batting line up that gives me hope. Even when he's scoring runs Blackwood looks erratic.

But good win today and hopefully something to build on.
Most sides in history have always seemed to have at least one really world class bat in the top 5 and West indies now haven't had that since chanderpaul about 6 years ago. They have enough in the rest of the line up to chip in but don't have that one averaging late 40s or 50+ to win them tests consistently

As far as I'm aware, Bravo's the only one who even averages above 35 at the moment. Not sure they have enough of anything in the lineup tbh. Hoping Brathwaite gets up to a 40+ level in the next few years.

Shai Hope obviously still promises a good career but he's been appallingly bad for a while. I'd pinned my (shai) hopes on Shimron Hetmeyer, but **** knows what's up with him.

Pooran honestly seems the most likely to do it which says ALOT. Has the talent, just needs come time at the crease in red ball.

I still think the batsman with the most attributes to average 50+ over a career is shai hope batting at 4
And I fully agree with you. He has the most class of any of our batsmen, and his one-day form alone, shows why he shouldn't be given up on.

Blackwood has averaged 50+ since his return right?
I don't think he can carry that on his career but I'm confident he can average 40 from now but that still isn't the world class player that every top side needs

Since the start of the England series last year? ~31 apparently.

He's done some good stuff in that time, but after some initial promise I'm not sure he's the improved player I thought he might have been

He never looks set though.

I thought i saw he got into the test team of the year so assumed he must have had a decent average since being brought back in but maybe not

He did pretty decently in the first few tests after his recall, got that matchwinning 95 against us and scored a ton against NZ. Things were looking promising, then had a mini slump and has been kinda middling since. Ended up being the same old story, I guess

Watching him bat, I never get the sense that he will be there for long.
Yeah, reminds me a bit of Marlon Samuels, has the ability to make big scores but you just know he's going to get frustrated and waft at something.

Brathwaite and Bravo would have been the two batsmen I thought would have 40+ avg for the West Indies.

Hetmyer has potential as well, but I guess he just doesn't give a crap about tests. Kinda disappointing but I understand the desire to make extra cash.

I'm hoping Brathwaite has at least a couple of years averaging 40+ during his peak years, which he should be entering now.

And hell Bravo as well, why not. He's 32, but still.

2nd test match starts today.

I guess they’ll make two changes, Powell and Warrican out, Hope and Alzarri in. Not good on over rates, but it’s a move that improves both batting and bowling.

Oh no, don't tell me you've dropped Warrican. How will you ever replace his contribution
