This post reeks of Mushfiqur Rahim.Kallis. Other than the obvious trope about him being watchful ("selfish"), he was also mechanically, irrepressibly orthodox in a way that always puts me to sleep.
I didn't enjoy Lara's crouching, high-backlift style in a way that seems to thrill most others either.
I basically just like watching shortish dudes who rely on touch. And I'm no different when it comes to cricket!
And loads of others like him! This post reeks of Mushfiqur Rahim.
I think they used to call him a [word that rhymes with widget].To be fair, he's not just shortish, he's almost an elf.
The first two more than the next two, for my taste. Also Rishabh Pant, Brad Haddin and some other blokes in the 5'6'-5'9 range such as Sehwag, Jonny Bairstow, Tendulkar, Quinton de Kock etc.Ashraful

I love watching most wicketkeeper-batsmen cos they're generally short-arses with great balance.
Also, I scrupulously avoided using that word that rhymes with widget. It's offensive. Unlike "short-arse", obviously.
It turns out he's a centimetre shorter than me, so I agree, he's tall as ****. Must be a real head-turner.I think Bairstow is deceptively tall
It was Ashraful and Aftab Ahmed tbh, before that I was less particular other than having a vague notion that I liked players who played late like Mark Waugh and Laxman.Did Romie Kalu started the love for below-the-average-height-for-men wicket-keeper trend?
Bringing your BD bias over here, I see. Aftab Ahmed was the 'one' for me. Shame he had to go like that.It was Ashraful and Aftab Ahmed tbh, before that I was less particular other than having a vague notion that I liked players who played late like Mark Waugh and Laxman.
Tbh, I didn't start thinking about cricket all that deeply until I started reading this place. This forum full of nerdy, OCD oddballs really brought out some things in me that were already there waiting to be activated.
