Will any of the Sky pundits dare criticise the hundred for the reason we're so unbelievably under prepared for this series.

I'd love for Root to come out and be critical of it. But I doubt it.

Haha it's a good ball but it's not that good. That's still the greatest ball I've ever watched live by a significant distance. Pujara played it perfectly and still got caught plumb LBW in front of middle stump having been beaten on the outside edge ffs
I'm obviously exaggerating. Lord's obviously capable of way better deliveries.

Don't be stupid, nobody will criticise it. Toe the party line and nod and carry on.

Clever from Bumrah, bowling the no-ball to have a go at Anderson.

I'm not sure that taking one run an over is the way to go when our openers would love a bowl in these conditions.

EDIT
Mind you, maybe they're aware that Bumrah had bowled 9 overs on the trot.

Whatever it takes!!!
You guys gotta invest in the special talents. Think Crawley, Curran, Pope (to an extent) are. I like the look of Dan Lawrence too. Add Stokes and Root and Buttler there and you got a core for a good side.

Possibly but to keep chopping and changing the side all the time and losing game after game is doing more harm than good.

Yeah.. I would go with this side -

Burns
Crawley
Haseeb / any promising #3, maybe even Malan for the short term
Root
Stokes
Pope / Lawrence
Buttler (wk)
Curran / Woakes
Leach
Broad / Wood
Anderson

I think the big concern, leaving aside the undeniable pitiful inadequacy of this XI's batting, is that we don't exactly have anyone knocking down the door to replace the incumbents.

Jimmeh looks gone here too.

EDIT: Nope. Missing by a bit. My specs aren't just for show.

Brilliant. Back you come Virat.

Mind you, the odds on Jimmy surviving the remaining three balls are ........
