Olympic cricket would be really lame. Or at least I feel like it would be, maybe if it happened I'd begrudgingly like it.
Squash being left out is the biggest head scratcher, it's a great sport. I'm pretty sure they're just doing it to troll at this point. For 2024 it's been passed over for breakdancing.

I reckon they’re just trying to make it less white, and the only way white people know how to make stuff less white is to rip off black American culture. We should just be grateful they didn’t add beatboxing.

Depends how it's judged/scored I guess? Things like gymnastics and diving definitely have points for style, but the requirements and scoring in the competitive events seem to be pretty rigorous, at least to my untrained eye.
Also if referee and judge opinions being involved disqualify a sport, we'd need to get rid of boxing and rugby to start off with

I mean I know nothing about breakdancing so maybe I’m just completely wrong, but I thought it was an art form, something that you do for self-expression that provokes an emotional response independently of whether the context is competitive or not. I always find trying to turn that type of thing into a sport a bit tacky.
But I really don’t mind it being there, it’ll be decent craic. The good thing about being pro-expansion is that I can moan about omissions without having to **** on stuff that’s included.
