Stumped!

GG finish on 209/7
This innings was all about the Bernstein-Obeysekere partnership for the 7th wicket. They put on 96 (70) after they lost their 6th wicket with the score on 101.

Mooo’s approach to this chase in the first 10 overs will tell us which direction this match will go.

I do think the ME is significantly better than completely random, and from large sample sizes we see the better teams win more often, and you can see your own players perform better under certain conditions or with certain orders that suit them.

But much like RL cricket, there are countless different factors in play, and sometimes we attribute results to patterns that are more easily visible to us.

It's why I like stumped tbh. Feels much more like real cricket than BT or FTP ever did.
I was exaggerating a little for my attempt at dramatic and comedic effect! Btw anyone been reading the titantic tussle of the big guns over the lottery of pulling a good player? That is too much engineering for my liking - yes we will let you pull one good youth (defininig good is covered btw!) but after that we will set a ratcheting cap on your future chances of pulling another one! I guess the management gods who have played since 2013 are not keen on some soul turning up pulling 5 geniuses and joining them on the top table!!

haha I'm completely fine with the current system. It evens out in the long long run. If you get good at using role-players you'll actually be fine with average players.

An interesting chase...the fall of Hughes has completely unsettled the pace of the innings and the stars Hughes/Fouche contributed very little in the end, so despite being way ahead of the required run rate there's every chance of being skittled for 190
