that livingstone six today was obscene, don't remember too many bigger.

a couple of brett lee strikes spring to mind. v west indies at the gabba in 2005 and v england at trent bridge in the same year.
Ridiculous hit. Proper golf swing, all the power was from his legs and hips.

He's a powerplay beast tbf. Rarely goes on but so often gets us off to a flier with 30 (18) or similar. When you have Jos opening with him and often either him or Malan going on, it's worth it for the pressure he puts on opening bowlers.

Having said that, top order options are stacked, so if someone can offer both the blazing starts and the going on, I'd be all for it.
We do have about 4 or 5 that ca/could do that though. Have to say that it's irrelevant though, the team is picked on who Morgan likes, Morgan likes Roy, he stays.

In fairness what that man wants he gets after us winning a World Cup. Not saying it is right but if he wants a player he gets it.

I'm not saying it's wrong, just it's a bit pointless almost arguing the merits. I mean when Stokes had Gregory in the ODI's he had him open the bowling, in his time with Morgan he's bowled one or two in the middle of the overs, whilst T Curran get's what he wants.

Hales, Hain, maybe even Vince have been hit, even though with Vince he was giving enough chances, whilst billings carries on.

Yet it's about results and he gets them for us, so we acquiesce, a bad T20 World Cup, and a bad personal performance from him, and the murmurs may start. Yet as is All Hail Our Irish Leader, best since Wellesley.

Just heard on commentary that he's actually Moin Khan's son.

Officially at least...
Yesterday was the first time I've seen him. He is on the large side, isn't he. Must be the most overweight player I've seen since that guy who played for Bermuda (I think) in the WC many years ago. Maybe 2007?

Malan's not having the best summer, apart from that one good knock in the first ODI. I know he's highly ranked, but I don't know who he made those scores against. He shouldn't have much grounds for complaint if he doesn't make the first XI. Livingstone, otoh, has provided an object lesson in taking your chance when it comes along. Maybe our 2020 side for this year's WC will read something like Buttler, Roy, Bairstow, Moeen, Livingstone, Morgan, Woakes, S Curran, Jordan, Rashid and Parkinson.

EDIT
And that's forgetting Stokes, which wasn't the best idea, even if I'm not convinced he should be playing in all three formats nowadays.
And it's also forgetting a genuine quick such as Archer or Wood.
At that point I gave up.

Whatever it takes!!!
Sam Curran and Woakes at 7 and 8 too. Wood, Rashid and one more bowler could play, I guess. Maybe Jordan.

8 bowling options. 2 keepers. 1 captain. :p

Parkinson had a decent game after some poor ones, don't think you need four spinners in a side myself. Oh and Archer has to play if fit. Jordan wouldn't for me, but he's a fave, Mahmood would be ahead of him, but hey Eoin will probably pick Tom over all of them..
