Congrats to @Magrat Garlick for Schmaltzbergs great performance in the CWC3 league. Disappointing from MTOs. The bowling really seems to be struggling at the moment even if the overall bowling performance appears solid. Some dropped catches but nothing excessive. Opponent dropped more! and created more opportunity. Just a disappointing result. MTOs are really struggling at the moment!

not sure which skills help recover wear better, but you can't set it or control it. It just increases after a game, then reduces as long as games aren't played. I think covers help.

Innings of the round goes to Zikhungwini for the only century this weekend, set up a match-winning score against the Hunks. Bowling spell of the round goes to Veenstra from Moooo for his 3/26. There were plenty of 3-fers yesterday, but his effort came as part of an outstanding bowling effort to cause the biggest upset of the round.



We still have 3 unbeaten teams leading at the top, with plenty of close competition through the middle. Astronauts the only ones yet to pick up a win, with Moooo and Schmaltzberg both registering their first CWC3 victories.

If my memory serves me right, I think that this is the highest score we’ve gotten to in our history as a team.

WCC put out a weakened side against me in a SOD match, meaning I had a >8K rating advantage. I still lost. None of the top order could get going, so I sat there, on a flat pitch, 97-6 half way through the innings. Thankfully it got better from there. Kurt Murdoch was top-class in hitting 77* (63) and Jasper Davey finally got a big innings for the club, 68* (88). I ended up 247-6.

@JOJOXI's team chased it down with 4 wickets and 21 deliveries remaining. I don't think playing Daniel Fletcher as a specialist bat was intended, neither giving a specialist bat 10 overs and batting him at 11, but hey, it worked out for them.

Yeah I forgot to set my orders so unfortunately less deliberately picking a weakened side, more a randomised side being more effective then when I set tactics lol. A bit worrying that my all-rounder conceding more runs then my specialist batsman with the ball too.

Around 21/22 I think and/or when they are within 2 of max potential.

I think you can also use training to try counteract the effect of age when they are older but unsure on that one.

I say this as an amateur!

yea generally around 22/23 is my upper limit for training a player as well. Usually want to get each skill of theirs to within 2 of their potential, as Stephen said. Ideally push it up to 1 within their potential.

GG had a rough outing today against maliyekkal heroes.

Bowling first, 300 runs were conceded on a pitch that favored batting. They only managed to pick up 6 wickets. Kasun Obeysekere with two wickets; Cornelius Human with two wickets as well.

Captain Ernst Levy (53 off 61) and Cornelius Human (64 off 56) were the only batsmen who made scores, but they could have carried on and make a big score…considering that GG were bowled out in the 33rd over and falling short by 71 runs.
