Predicting Mooo's margin of defeat against ZCC: by at least 150 runs OR by 9 wickets

GG's will be much more closer against FHK: by at least 90 runs OR by 7 wickets.
I think it's going to be a lot closer than that. GG CC could upset FHK tbh. Our batting is incredibly frail still and our spinners will be neutralized by the conditions. Andy Li won't even get a bowl!

Morpork in with an outside chance of making the final - they will need to pick up 5 points and a NRR boost vs the now-bot Picasso Moon next weekend. FHK will be playing ZCC, and will be hoping to take at least 1 point out of that game in order to ensure a derby final! Good chance for an all-Dynamo 3rd/4th play-off as well.
Feel like knockout semifinals would make more sense here (or 2v3, winner plays ZCC) but oh well. Was a good win to wake up to :)

ZCC's batting has crumbled, and Moooo will be sensing a massive upset.

Astronauts struggling against ataraXIa, while the two Dynamo games are finely poised. Jura CC look set for a good score vs Honest Hunks, while Tony Chung continues to churn out the runs for FHK.

Garner just needs someone to bat the whole 40 with him. Good effort by Chester, but wasn't enough. Pitch has plenty of wear, hopefully the bowlers can pull of something special.

FHK's soft underbelly has been exposed, but at 178/4 in 30 it's probably the best time for them. Hope they can get us to around 220, ideally 240. Great batting conditions at this ground, and GG CC are no slouches.

ataraXIa closing in on a comfortable victory, with Schmaltzberg, Jura CC and Moooo not too far behind. Winton CC have lost their 3rd and GG CC their 4th wicket in their respective chases.

I honestly don’t know what to say about this Moooo victory. Was it an anomaly?

This isn’t the first time that Vethanayagam did something like this ( opening the bowling and striking immediately and then went on to find his spell economically). Prior to this match I was a bit conflicted on whether or not I should play him. There were two other choices: main man McCormack and Alf Hebron…but I chose Lahiru because he is an accurate bowler and I know that if he he the right areas consistently, he will eventually cause the batsmen to make errors.
On to Andrew Short now, he played a good supporting role. He choked the opposition of scoring freely.
Veenstra is the highly skilled bowler who just did his thing.
I’m surprised that 16 year old skipper Gul went for so few off his 3 overs. I was expecting the ZCC batsmen to take him on.
Former skipper, Tom Toogood, and Tauseef Nazar chipped in with wickets as well.

It was really a disciplined bowling performance & against this opposition, I give the respect that they deserve. Moooo are on the rise oh yeah.

Our previous two encounters were close games as well but I felt we needed that game changer with the ball to break partnerships and the bowling unit as a whole didn’t have the gas to last the 40 overs.

Batting wise, this was just the approach needed for chasing a total like this. Calm heads. No risks.

I hope to win a few more games in this league :)

Yea thIs is what happens in Dev cricket sometimes. The experience levels are lower and gaps in skills not as high as ratings would reflect. Upsets are a lot more common. ZCCs U21s aren't even the best in this league, they constantly rate below FHK too.

Maybe that’s why I’ve won only two matches against GG CC in friendly DEvs….

Speaking of GG CC, I gotta hurry and set the orders for a match against them starting in 45 mins time.

Richard McCormack returns to the Mooo lineup for today’s friendly against GG CC and he’s batting at number 4…. Yeah, I wanna make him into Jacques Kallis.
