Got some training to do I see.

I'm playing a return SOD at FHK, and sent in to bat I'm going well. The Saadi-Frost defensive-aggressive opening partnership put on 112 runs at close to one a ball. Considering that FHK are rated 9K ahead of us, and that mine isn't a top-heavy unit (top 8 batting skill: 27, 27, 34, 37, 35, 28, 29, 25), I'm very pleased with that. If Lester and Lai don't wring havoc, the hope is AXI can push to 300+. Ghous Saadi fell one short of his 50 and Rusty Frost is cruising along on 7 aggression, 56* (64).

Edit: okay, Frost out for 56 (65). Whatever...

Haven't been able to get going, 154-4 (33) with 9 overs of top-class spin to come...

edit: make that 155-5... Come on Clift and Murdoch. You can do this.

In happier news than the collapse at FDCG, I've got a seamer off the TM, one Daniel Jones. Only 40 pot, but 14 accuracy + 20 variations + tail clearer + great fielding, stamina. Needs some development but with my human-barren season I'll be able to give him that.

That means I'm selling Isaac Loring. A spinner, he's got late bloomer and partnership breaker, making his 40 pot worth more than that. Also has potential to be a handy late-order slogger. If any of you want him, feel free to bid!

Maybe a chance here. FHK are 120-5 (29). Chung, Spavor are quality batsmen though. The decision to bring a second spinner on the pitch has paid dividends, Ndaba getting two wickets including Tin Yau.

Yea couple of good wins overnight. FHK vs ataraXIa was a good game, Tony Chung bailed us out yet again with a match-winning 56* off 71 coming in at 93/4. Seems to be the trend as of late, would be nice if the other batters picked up the slack a bit more! Lai O Yin returned to form with 5/24 as well. I know I promised a weakened XI, but as this game shows ataraXIa are not a side to be taken lightly :P

The ZCC U21s picked up a good win over Winton CC on home turf as well. The in-form 16 YO RMF bowling allrounder Taufeeq Bashir was fantastic. Took 8-0-19-3 with the ball, his best ever in all Dev cricket, and was instrumental to reducing WCC to 112/6. However Jawad and Luqe added 61 runs in the final 47 balls to set us a tricky target of 174. Younis, Grubs, Ahsan and Halliday all got starts, but it was Stuart Garner who finished off the chase, hitting 43* off just 32 balls. Shout out to 16 YO prodigy Shafi Ibrahim, who scored 3* off 23 in a 42-run partnership with Garner. Held up an end and made sure he saw the chase through. Good stuff from the young lad. We got there with just under 5 overs to spare. WCC actually outrated us slightly - 43K vs 42K - so this is a good sign that we have a functional system in place for home games. Let's hope we carry this form into the CWC games tomorrow!

Hammering incoming... was expecting it but still loss of two wickets for no runs in opening over is sad!
