The team is beyond embarassing. How we went from Ponting Hayden bevan and mcgrath to this absolutely hopeless lot I will never understand.

We wont qualify for the WC and frankly we dont deserve it. I would much rather CA stops spending money on these tours and instead use that money on more pressing issues faced by people in the country.

As for me, im done with Cricket for a while. No point watching match after match if they continue to embarass themselves and their supporters game after game. Without showing any improvement.

Could've been so much better if Smith, Maxwell and Warner were playing. At least woulda won the first one. That loss was just awful, this one was on the cards. They're just super inept.

I really don't think Cummins might have had that much of an impact here anyway, it's 50/50.

Also, won't this be the end of the rope for Langer? I'd have thought he was on thin ice already.

Yeah but he recovered enough to play in the IPL, coincidentally, I'm sure. Just not enough to play for his country afterwards. It's a joke. Retire and become the white Chris Gayle (of five years ago tbf). Don't pretend you give a **** any more.

Not speaking for the OP. but it does burn my cheese a bit when blokes slough off citing "family" and "fatigue" when they literally went to play hit and giggle for big bucks in the middle of a pandemic. It's ****ed. It goes to their attitude and tot he culture within the playing group.

How do the contracts work? Do these guys just sit back and collect money?

Obviously not feasible in NSW right now, but if they can't be ****ed touring then all these guys should be going around to primary schools every week and drumming up the game that has given them everything

I've often thought about it though. What are these guys actually doing while they're paid 100k a week?

I'd have all domestic players going out to primary schools every single week. Honestly, get them working rather than just a light gym session and tennis

A lot of the domestic players do that sort of stuff tbh. And players contracted to BBL franchises too.

The national players though? There is no less accessible sporting team in the nation than the Aus cricket team. They have very, very little to do with supporters outside waving to them as they leave the field after a win.
