I think the double-pivot is pretty much a good way to help against a better midfield, a la Croatia.

Never a pen but after Maradona, the Parker deflection and Gazza just missing we deserved some luck in a big game. Bring on the Italians, best two sides of the tournament in my opinion.

Spain were best in the semi's, but lucky to play a terrible team to qualify through the first round, Struggled against Croatia, and not great against Switzerland, so fair enough really.
