Semifinal: England v Denmark (in London, UK)

I think it's fair enough to feel aggrieved conceding a goal from a questionable referee decision for a soft foul. But sometimes you get lucky I suppose.

And then somehow after that decision, England managed to score two goals to come back and win.

What a game so far and an amazing crowd, hope Wembley can be full for the final. Can't beat the atmosphere British crowds create.
Really?

I don't know, last night's match was of much higher quality. England despite the soft penalty deserved to win, a much superior side and dominated the game and its better for the event that the superior side is through.

I've got money on Italy from ages ago to win this , so fully expect England to win 5-0.

This English team is a lot more likeable than their mid 00s team and wouldn't have minded them winning that penalty against Italy or Spain at all but it's brutal for an underdog Denmark. :(

Don't think James said that this match was better than yesterday, so odd comment.

Agree wouldn't have minded the questionable penalty against Italy who are great at diving themselves but feels unfair against denmark

I mean Denmark were hardly gonna be the ones to get a lucky penalty, they couldn’t get out of their own half.

Understandable that they were exhausted after the tournament they’ve had, I really wouldn’t have fancied them against Italy.

I thought Denmark were actually pretty cynical, tactical fouls, time-wasting, if it wasn't for the fairytale story people would be less forgiving, but don't blame them that was their best chance to win, so fair enough.

Anyway congrats to England supporters on the epic 55 years in waiting win!

I'll probably support England over Italy in the final as they feel like the underdog at least in the grand scheme of the last few decades and I've never liked Italy in football. I guess there won't be as many epic meltdowns from the British press even if they lose in the final considering how far they have come so even that factor to want England to lose is ruled out.

Yeah it was a flukey decision, but it was just the one that happened to get given for playing everything after the hour mark in the Danish penalty area. If you're padding up to straight balls all day then sooner or later you're going to get given out.

Stats on the Beeb feed had 21 fouls from Demark to England's 10.
