Thing is, we've seen all this tour that it's harder to bat after 10, 15 overs. Yes, play the ball on it's merits but if they do miss their line or length climb into it.

India started very accurately so far
129 to go... Without playing a serious stroke yet.

the revival came in 2011-2012 with some brilliant individual performances and a couple of wins. there weren't neccessarily results, but the right players came into the squad. there were horrible speed bumps like cape town, but you get those in a developing nation. 2013 they began to find their feet in earnest with the england series.

Whatever it takes!!!
You just very rarely see that position, despite that exact shot going to that exact spot a lot for tailenders. It's something that should really be encouraged more by analysts and backroom staff.
I seem to recall seeing it often for Wagner though and for bowlers when they are going short so that they can rule out hte upper cut. Disappointed at how our main batsmen gave it away in the second innings but we were always up against it.

Second innings Shami is a thing, lads. Besides, this attack has loads of LO pedigree and can bowl dry.

Yeah, Southee and Boult swinging the ball around corners in Sri Lanka
Tom Latham comig into the team and performing in the UAE
Wagner turning from "guys he's taking the shine off the ball, ruining the swing for S+B" to "oh **** this guy is a machine"

plenty of landmarks along the way that have little to do with McCullum and Hesson.

In fact what held the side back for a long time was weird things like McHesson's fascination with Ish Sodhi etc
