Rohit and Gill are so similar. Talented, flawed, and very prone to throwing away good starts.

Not comfortable with Kohli out there while the ball is still moving, tho tbf in these conditions and with the Dukes that's probably going to be the majority of the innings. He needs to figure his **** out.

No spinner probs the right move for NZ in these conditions. Likely to be lots of stoppages in play, plenty of rest of the quicks, and if the outfield is a bit damp it will make Ajaz ineffective. Glad that India stuck with both Ashwin and Jaddu despite this. Lengthens the batting, Jaddu's fielding is invaluable, and they're quality enough to find a way to bowl well regardless of the conditions.

Really need somewhere around 350 on the board here tho. Bat long and take a good chunk of time out of the game.

Kohli and Kane not have much to prove with the bat in an icc tourney. Yes Kane had couple of good knocks and so has Kohli but nothing massive from memory. Double hundred here in these conditions is too much to ask for but a hundred here and that'll seal their legendary status for a long time to come.

I’m watching this on Hotstar and they literally just cut away to commercial in the middle of a sentence by Atherton, and came back in the middle of another sentence by Karthik. Horrible production quality.

CdG should keep it tight, though I’d have preferred testing these 2 out with Jamieson first up. He was bowling really well towards the end of his 1st spell.

Hmm don't really agree with the CDG rationale after lunch here. Yes he got him out once last time. So did Jamieson, so have Boult and Southee at other times. Get Jamieson on.
