It is hopefully a win against our best group opponents, where we have let then have next to no chances, again it is forgettable, just OK, but a decent start to the Tournament.

I guess it depends what your expectations were but I’m a bit less optimistic about England now than I was before kick off. They weren’t shocking or anything but much worse than the likes of Italy and Belgium were in their games.

Thought that was reasonable. Patches were good, dull for large periods. Thought Sterling was very good (which seems to be a minority view?) and defo agree with the comments that he was lucky to score as I thought he took it brilliantly.

In the end, so many teams don't play their best at the start, we need to improve, but there's a decent defensive base, which actually wins Tournaments, depressingly more than attacking flair, particularly the Euros.

Oh and Phillips an huge plus I thought, my MOTM by miles. Wonder if he keeps playing this well whether Leeds will get some serious bids, outshined Rice.

I thought it was strange how much we decided to shut up shop from 80 minutes onward. There was at least one throw-in and one free kick that we didn't even try to do anything other than get it as far down Croatia's end as possible. The defence looked pretty solid, but it would have looked even more solid if we'd have at least tried to keep the ball.

Yeah I don’t think anyone will have a great attack. It’s more the inability to keep the ball that would concern me. Same weakness that’s been holding them back since forever.

I mean they have a chance of winning it, I just wouldn’t have them as one of the favourites.
