Don’t mind the rest of the lineup being tested in KW’s absence at Edgbaston. More worried about Kane coming into the final on the back of very little cricket and having looked out of sorts at Lord’s.

Should be a fascinating second test though with both sides having to reshuffle.

One guy in Kane missing and it's thrown the balance of the side off. Also the test result wide open now. Power of Kane.

The ECB are investigating historical Tweets by Morgan, Anderson and Buttler according to the BBC. Not sure if that might rule James out of the 2nd Test, but I don't think Twitter even existed when he was young and foolish.
Wtf? Surely if Anderson had ever done anything genuinely objectionable on twitter we’d know already, he was an England regular before twitter was even founded.

EDIT: just seen he tweeted that Broad’s haircut in 2010 made him look like a lesbian. If they ban him for that they’d be getting into pretty silly territory imo. Better to just D R O P him instead.

Is there any chance sub continent and cricketers from other countries such as West Indies, South Africa etc wouldn't have tweeted any ***ist or other ones? Remember Marlon Samuels getting into bit of trouble tweeting **** about Ben Stokes. I guess all cricketers should best delete their social media or hand over to their agents their logins ASAP.

They should actually standardise the one-match suspension across every international competition and make it a game strategy. Fans could trawl the Internet looking for Jadeja's 8-year old tweet calling Shane Bond "a dumbass cracker" the week before the WTC final.
Lmao I was right

Not sure whether that's serious or not...but if anyone can truly stand up and say that trawling back over decade-old tweets for any offense will in any significant way contribute to addressing the very real and very ingrained problems of racism, ***ism, homophobia etc, then go for it.

As it stands, this is window dressing by the ECB. Never mind dealing with the stench out the back or across the road, as long as the front facade looks good.

Just focus on the tweets he made on overcast days, much more likely to be of influential

SO, to sum up - most players appear to have made ***ist, racist and homphobic tweets in a timeframe shorter than the last time Ross looked like he knew how to hold a bat without falling over?

but they were just kids at the time ... but, but, but ... therefore Ross is a blind grandpa?
